We also do not leave them alone at all. We are with your dogs 24 hours a day. You do not have to worry about a strange dog sitter in your house. A dog sitter may only visit your house a few times a day. resulting in diarrhea or vomiting. The best way to prevent this is for you to bring your dog’s regular food. We do
not charge any extra fees for special diets. We are even raw food diet capable. We can’t stress enough the
importance of feeding your dog their regular food. If your dogs are known not to eat well while boarding, please bring along something that can be added to their food to make it more desirable. Only if its something they are used to having as a treat. We will give you a dog boarding form to fill out giving us instructions on feeding your dogs.

If your dogs vomits, has diarrhea or any other problems we will make a note and let you know. If your dog becomes very sick or injured we will make a call to you or your emergency contact right away. We have you fill out a dog boarding veterinarian release with your vet’s information so we can go to your veterinarian, if it’s not too far for your dogs medical needs. Otherwise we are close to several veterinarians and an emergency veterinarian hospital.
We only charge a base dog boarding fee per night per dog. We do not base our fee on the size or type of dog
you have. We do not have any hidden costs or add-ons, such as fees to feed your dog a special diet, administer
medications or take your dog for extra walks. If your dogs are chronically ill or need injections you will have to

Dogs do need to be trained, there is no doubt about it. If a dog is not trained
and socialized properly it will have problems. It really does not matter the
breed either. Dogs that are known to be good and nice dogs can be
aggressive if not trained correctly. Dogs that have been trained correctly even

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Las Cruces has seen several pit bull attacks in the past
few weeks, including one that resulted in the death of a baby girl. One trainer
who specializes in handling aggressive dogs told ABC-7 it's not the breed of
the dog that matters, it's what they're taught by the owner. April Oxford trains
all breeds of dogs, and she said preventing dog attacks comes down to
teaching the canines some manners. Oxford spends most of her days training
breeds like pit bulls, rottweilers and German shepherds how to behave. She
said many of these "bullying-type" dogs have the tendency to lash out when
they're scared, but owners need to teach them not to.

Box turtles are in danger of going extinct. Researchers have been collecting
the turtles and studying them to find out what is the cause. Their best way to
collect the turtles is the use of dogs. Dogs can find more turtles then the
researchers ever could. A man by the name John Rucker found out his dogs
were great at finding the turtles and bringing them back to the researchers.
The dogs are Boykin Spaniels. They have a soft bite and do not hurt the
turtles. This story is a great read check it out.

empty campground at Kickapoo State Park. John Rucker sits at a picnic table
next to his tent eating his usual in-the-field breakfast of oats and raisins. His
turtle-hunting dogs spent the night close by in makeshift pens in the back of
Rucker's well-worn 1992 red minivan that's logged more than 400,000 miles
across 10 states, carrying Rucker and his dogs to various turtle-hunting jobs.
Sometimes oats are also lunch and supper for Rucker. It's difficult to take
eight Boykin Spaniels to a local restaurant or hotel. So Rucker, who prefers "a
tent to anything," makes do at local campgrounds, like the one at Kickapoo
where he's spent the last three nights with little more than a tent, his van, a
little food, a couple water containers, a few bags of clothes and a guitar.

Disagreeable people 'prefer aggressive dogs'

Researchers have found out that we do match our dogs. People that are more
likely to be aggressive are more likely to pick a dog that is known to be
aggressive. The opposite is true with people that tend to be less aggressive
will get a dog that is known to be nice. The study used more then 200 people
with a standard psychological personality tests. It was conclusive that the
personality matched the dog they would want to have. Check out this article it
is very interesting.

aggression, according to psychologists. A study at the University of Leicester
compared human personality type with the breed of dog they would choose.
Dogs with a reputation for aggression were more popular with people who
were "less concerned with the needs of others and quicker to become hostile".
Researchers say the results support the idea that dogs are likely to match
their owners.

This has been going on for a while now. You really have to be careful when
you buy any type of dog food or treats made in China. You have to look very
hard all over the package to find out where these items are made. They have
sent officials over to China to check on these dog treats but have not made

from China, according to a new tally of complaints from worried owners and
veterinarians submitted to federal health officials. The Food and Drug
Administration has logged 900 reports of illnesses and deaths since
November, when it warned owners about continued problems with the
products known variously as chicken jerky strips, treats and nuggets, a
spokeswoman said.
